In this opening course on the book of Genesis, we discuss the Bible as God’s inspired Word–uniquely authoritative and profitable for teaching, correction, and guidance in life.  Genesis introduces God as the Creator of all things, affirming His sovereignty and purpose in establishing the foundations of the world and humanity. The text highlights that Scripture is not merely historical but reveals eternal truths about God’s character, His relationship with mankind, and His plan for redemption. This foundational understanding calls believers to trust the reliability of God’s Word and apply its principles for living in obedience and faith.

In this course on Exodus, we explore the themes and structure of the Pentateuch and highlight the Exodus narrative as a foundational story of liberation, identity, and the revealing of God’s character. You’ll see how the events of Exodus not only shape Israel’s story but also foreshadow the ultimate sacrifice of Christ—showing where and how Jesus appears throughout the book.

The course on Leviticus explores the subject of God’s holiness and the requirements for relationship with Him—through sacrifices, priesthood, purity laws, and ethical living—calling His people to be set apart, worship rightly, and live in obedience to maintain fellowship with a holy God.

The course on Deuteronomy explores God’s call of His people to wholehearted love and obedience–promising blessings for faithfulness and warnings for disobedience. It emphasizes remembering God’s past works, teaching His Word diligently, and living a covenant relationship, showing that true prosperity flows from honoring and obeying Him.

The lesson on the book of Joshua explores Joshua’s leadership and Israel’s entry into Canaan, highlighting God’s faithfulness in granting land, the significance of faith-filled obedience, and the consequences of sin. It challenges believers to serve the Lord wholeheartedly, trust His guidance, and choose Him daily.

In this course on Judges we note Israel’s repeated cycle of sin, suffering, and salvation, showing God’s loving correction through discipline and deliverance. It warns against moral compromise, emphasizes the need for godly leadership, and reveals God’s mercy in restoring His people when they repent.

The Psalms reveal God’s greatness, faithfulness, and care, inviting us to express trust and devotion from the heart, making worship central to a vibrant and enduring relationship with Him.

In this course on the books of Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon we explore how the two work together on the topics of love and meaning. Ecclesiastes teaches that life’s meaning is found only in God, not worldly pursuits, while Song of Solomon celebrates love and intimacy within God’s design. Together, they reveal true fulfillment through reverence for God and relationships grounded in His wisdom and covenant purposes.

In this course on the book of Isaiah, we explore how the prophet proclaims God’s holiness, sovereignty, and salvation, calling His people to trust Him amid judgment and hope. It reveals the coming Messiah as the ultimate Redeemer and emphasizes living righteously, relying on God’s strength, and embracing His promises of restoration and peace.

In this course on Jeremiah and Lamentations, we explore how these books reveal God’s sovereignty and faithfulness amid judgment and sorrow. They call for repentance, warn against idolatry, and affirm hope in God’s promises, showing that even in suffering, His mercy and restoration remain available to those who trust Him.

In this course on the book of Daniel, we highlight the book’s central theme of God’s sovereignty over kingdoms and history, calling believers to trust Him fully. Through trials, visions, and unwavering faith, it shows that courage and obedience amid adversity lead to blessing, and God’s ultimate plan for redemption will prevail.

In this course on the book of Hosea, we explore how God’s unfailing love and mercy are displayed toward His unfaithful people. Through Hosea’s marriage metaphor, it reveals the pain of sin, the call to repentance, and the promise of restoration, showing that God’s covenant love persists despite human failure.

This course on the books of Joel and Amos shows how the books stress God’s holiness and the need for wholehearted devotion.  While Joel warns of the “Day of the Lord,” calling for repentance and promising restoration through God’s Spirit, Amos condemns social injustice and empty worship, urging righteousness and justice.

This course on the book of Obadiah explores God’s judgment on Edom for pride and hostility toward Israel and affirms His justice and sovereignty. It promises restoration for God’s people and ultimate victory for His kingdom, reminding believers that pride leads to downfall, but trust in God brings hope.

In this course on the book of Jonah we explore how God reveals His compassion for all people and His call to obedience. Despite Jonah’s resistance, God’s mercy extends to Nineveh, showing that His purposes prevail. The book teaches humility, repentance, and the importance of aligning our hearts with God’s mission.

In this course on the book of Micah, we explore how the prophet Micah calls God’s people to justice, mercy, and humility, warning of judgment for sin while promising hope through the coming Messiah. The book emphasizes true worship over ritual and reveals God’s desire for hearts aligned with His character and covenant purposes.

In this course on the book of Nahum we explore the prophet’s announcement of God’s judgment on Nineveh–affirming His justice and sovereignty.  The book contrasts divine wrath against evil with comfort for God’s people, showing that while He punishes pride and cruelty, He remains a refuge for those who trust Him.

In this course on the book of Habakkuk we explore how the prophet wrestles with God’s justice amid evil–moving from doubt to trust. Through dialogue with God, Habakkuk learns to live by faith, affirming that even in hardship, God’s sovereignty and goodness prevail, calling believers to trust His timing and purposes.

In this course on the book of Zephaniah we explore the book’s theme of God’s sovereignty and faithfulness through prophetic warnings and promises. It calls for repentance, highlights judgment for sin, and assures restoration for the faithful, reminding believers that hope and renewal come only through trusting God’s Word and His redemptive plan.

In this course on the book of Malachi, we explore the prophet’s confronting of spiritual complacency–calling God’s people to renewed faithfulness. The book warns against empty worship, dishonesty, and neglect of covenant obligations, while promising blessing for obedience and hope in the coming Messiah, urging wholehearted devotion to honor God’s name.
